After our failed attempt to conquer wineglass bay, we then departed for hobart.  This time we only had roughly 1.5 and 2 nights in hobart as we need to leave early on the 3rd morning to do a 500 km drives to strahan - the west point of the tasmania.

The drive from swansea to hobart was pleasant and reasonably short.  We then checked into our hotel, which was really lovely and clean.  The price is slightly more expensive than other accommodations but I think after some roughly nights it was nice to move back to a civilised and modern studio apartment.

This is the pic of the studio apartment we stayed in hobart, it is right next to the famous Salamanca Market, but unfortunately we didn't spend a Satursday there, so we didn't have the chance to visit the famous market.

Neat, clean, comfy room with simple kitchen facilities, good enough to make simple meals (with infra red cooktop). Oh also their internet is very cheap...I think it isn't supposed to be but their internet quota recording system is quite screwed up haha so I only ended up paying 50 cents for the two nights of internet.

We didn't have much time in Hobart, so not many pictures were taken while we were here.  There are several main attractions we would like to visit, but it would take up to at least 4-5 days if we want to visit them all. They are listed as follow:

1. Bruny island national park + eco-cruise - I really want to go to this national park, but again, no time, no chance.

2. Port Arthur - ch really wants to show me this place, perhaps it is because he has been there once and spent half a day there, so he highly recommended this place.  After visiting this place, I also highly recommend this place, some people might find it boring, but it is a place with a depressing history while the place is full of the peacefulness/tranquility, not to mention that the historical sites are so well maintained here.

3. Hobart Winery tours - probably will just take up to 4-5 hours to go around and taste every single one.

4. Mount Wellington - I really wanted to go to this place too and my colleague also highly recommended but...no time, next time!

5. Hobart itself - I think we could have spend 2-3 days in hobart itself and enjoying strolling along the streets and harbour, and visiting neighbouring surburbs. Again, no time this time, must do next time.

So where did I go at the end?  I spent half 2-3 hours going around hobart, and went to the fisherman's deck, salamanca market (night time and no shops) and the next day I went to port arthur and visited tasmanian devils and some hobart wineries on the way back.  We then had an early night, and left hobart around 5 am in the morning to continue our trips towards Strahan.

flavour in the mouth, 天啊, it is definitely to die for!

當晚我們就跑去Constitution Dock 買seafood回hotel食用,在那邊有好幾家並列的攤販,有買ready to eat and fresh seafood,

depending on your preference.

Port Arthur is one of the oldest convict site in Australia, it is quite well-maintained and worth taking a look.  My colleague didn't visit this place when he visited Hobart, because the air hostess told him that it is a sad spot.  I totally disagree, although the history and the stories heard can be heartbreaking, this site is so peaceful and beautiful.

This is a place called eaglehawk neck, it took me a while to figure out why.  It is because it is as thin as an eaglehawk neck,
